Day 1: LIMA
Pick up from the airport and transfer to the selected Hotel. Overnight (no
meals)
Day 2: LIMA CITY TOUR
In the morning Lima city tour , you will be picked up from your hotel at 09
AM. The city tour begin with the visit to the Plaza the Armas, which has
been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Running along two sides are
arcades with shops:Portal de Escribanos and Portal de Botoneros. In the
centre of the Plaza is a bronze fountain dating from 1560. Located in the
Plaza is the Cathedral, note the splendidly carved stalls, the silver
covered altars surrounded by fine woodwork, mosaic covered walls bearing the
coats of arms of Lima and Pizarro. Next to the Cathedral is the Archbishop's
Palace. Then you will visit the Monastery of San Francisco, this is famous
for the Sivillian tilework and panelled ceiling in the cloisters, the
catacombs under the church and part of the monastery are well worth seeing,
You'll visit the old colonial streets in the centre of the city, and the
modern Lima with the district of San Isidro and Miraflores.
At the end transfer to the hotel and overnight.(B)
Day 3: CHICLAYO
Transfer to the airport where you'll take the flight to Chiclayo (airfare
not
included ),Arrival, reception at Chiclayo airport and transfer to the
selected hotel. Full day tour visiting the highlights of Chiclayo : the tomb
of the Lord of Sipan (the richest tomb discovered in the Americas), the
Valley of the 26 pyramids of Tucume and The National Museum Royal Tombs of
Sipan. Lunch included at typical restaurant. Overnight at the Hotel. (B,L)
*On Monday we can offer the Bruning Museum instead of the Royal Tomb of
Sipan Museum because this museum is closed .
Day 4: TRUJILLO
Early morning departure to Trujillo by private car. On the way, visit the
Snag Jose de Moro site museum. Lunch at Pacasmayo. After arrival at
Trujillo, transfer to Sun and moon temples. Overnight at the Hotel. (B,L)
Day 5: TRUJILLO
Full day tour that includes a visit to the colonial city of Trujillo, the
amazing adobe city of Chan Chan (Capital of the Chimu empire) and Huanchaco
beach where fishermen still surf in totora reed boat as their ancestors did
in ancient times. Lunch will be included. At appropriate hour transfer to
the airport to take the back flight to Lima (airfare not included). Upon arrival
transfer to Hotel. Overnight (B,L)
Day 6: CUSCO
Transfer to the airport and take a flight to Cusco (airfare not included).
Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Leisure time to
acclimatize. Overnight (B)
Day 7: CUSCO CITY TOUR
At 2 pm approx. Cusco city tour. This tour includes the major sites of
historical interest in Cusco, such as the famous Inca fort at Sacsahuaman,
and the temple of the Sun. Also included in this is a tourist card, giving
you access to all the sites in the Cusco area as a whole (i.e., including
outside of the City itself) This tour finishes at 18:00, overnight at the
hotel. (B)
Day 8: SACRED VALLEY TOUR
(Note: This Tour is available just on Tuesdays, Thursdays or Sundays) You
will be picked up at 8,45A.M. Full day excursion to the Urubamba Valley
visiting: the village of Pisac, a picturesque town of creole and colonial
aspect and its lndian market and craftfair. Lunch provided. In the afternoon
you'll visit to the fortress of Ollantaytambo, an architectural group that
in the days of the Tahuantinsuyo empire was a gigantic agricultural,
administrative, social, religious and military complex, then the Chincero
market. At the end Return to Cusco and overnight at the hotel(B,L)
Day 9: MARAS Y MORAY
Include private transportation and guide service Departure day at 9:00am you
will visit Maras, from which one can reach the salt flats and the Moray
ruins, is located on the northwestern side before entering the city of
Cuzco.The salt flats display a spectacle of unusual beauty. Located on a
wide-open hill above the Urubamba Valley, the salt water runs along
channels, which extend through the flooded lands and follow a more or less
rectangular pattern, depending on the variations in the land.
The water, which is exposed to the sun, leaves salt on the bed. Viewed from
the peak, the myriad of rectangles look Like an enormous painting designed
by nature.Inland, not far from Maras, one can find the Moray ruins, there
are three "colosseums" , used by the Inkas as a sort of open-air crop
laboratory ,the terraces arranged in concentric circles and spread out at
intervals from the lower to the upper region. are reminiscent of a Greek
theatre. Afternoon back to Cusco to the hotel (B,L)
Day 10: CUZCO - MACHU PICCHU (overnight) All day excursion by alpine
train to Machu Picchu. At 5:30 am you will leave the Hotel to the train
station, the train leaves at 6:00 am. Travel is in "Vistadome" Class
(formerly "Autowagon"). At 9:40 a.m., you will arrive at the Aguas Calientes
Station, from where you take a 25 minute bus ride to the ruins of Machu
Picchu. Once there, you will have a guided tour, with an English speaking
professional guide. The ruins are on the eastern slope of Machu Picchu in
two separate arcas: the agricultural and the urban. Lunch at the Machu
Picchu Sanctuary Lodge (included). Overnight at the hotel. (B,L)
Day 11: MACHU PICCHU - CUZCO
Morning at leisure to explore the are by your own (entrance fee and
transportation not included). In the afternoon you will take the train to
Cuzco. Upon arrival in Cuzco, transfer to the hotel. (B)
Day 12: TRASFER TO LIMA
Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Lima (airfare not included). (B)
